Roz Goldfarb - Director:

Roz was born and raised in NYC. She received her Masters Degree from Brooklyn College of the City Of New York. Starting out as a NYC Public School teacher, she and her husband moved out of the city before they had children. They have 2 children. Her daughter is an attorney in NYC and her son is a Publicist in Arizona. She has one granddaughter in Arizona. Roz has been in the field of Early Childhood for the past 25 years. She started at the Sharon Day in the summer of 2005 as the Executive Director. Roz guided Sharon Day Care through the NAEYC accreditation successfully in 2010. She lives in Poughquag, NY with her husband.

Margaret Bardot - Head Teacher:

Margaret was born and raised in Minnesota. She moved to Connecticut in 1976. Margaret has been involved in early childhood education since graduating from college. She completed her Masters level courses at Bank Street College in NYC. Margaret has been the Head Teacher at the Sharon Day Care since 2003. She is proud to be part of the dedicated staff. Margaret and her husband have three children and live in Cornwall, CT. Her interests include reading, kayaking, and vacationing in Maine.

Jan Dudek:

Jan started working for the Sharon Day Care Center in 1992 as the bookkeeper when her son and daughter were young.Within a couple of years, when her daughter was old enough to attend, she started substitute teaching at the center. In 1995 Jan was hired as a part time teacher and continued as the bookkeeper. Jan lives at Miles Wildlife Sanctuary in Sharon with her husband Mike.


 

 

Shelley Hotchkiss:

Shelley has worked at the Sharon Day Care since 1987. She was a substitute teaching assistant when her daughter was 4 years old. In the 1990's she was asked to take on the role of After School Program Coordinator and was responsible for scheduling activities for children in the after school program. When the Sharon Day Care discontinued the after school program, Shelley worked for Education Connection and the Sharon Day Care. Later, the after school program expanded to include 5th – 7th grade. She was also a Girl Scout leader for several years. Her interests include music, reading, gardening, and travel.

Victoria Reap:

Working with children has always been a way of life for Victoria, as she comes from a family of nine children. Victoria has been working with children in a structured setting for over forty years. She volunteered as an assistant Sunday school teacher at the age of 14. Her career has included positions of Teaching Assistant, one-to-one aid, head start teacher, home visitor, and after school program assistant director, and teacher. Victoria has a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Family Work, from Empire State College (SUNY).Victoria lives in Wassaic, NY with her husband and son and a cat. She also has a healing practice of Reiki energy healing and essential oil treatments. Victoria's hobbies include sewing, crafting, nature photography, hiking, and whatever else interests her at any given time.
